May 2022 AP Exam in India: Registration Manual

As we all know, AP exams are administered in May every year, and they are one of the best elements for college applications.

Many schools in India offer both AP courses and AP Exams, but they limit testing to their enrolled students only. Authorized AP test centers are open to all students as long as they are eligible to test. So, students in India who wish to take AP Exams can register at any of the authorized AP test centers(in India) if their school does not offer the desired AP Exam(s).

AP Exam Registration
Registration for May 2022 AP Exams at authorized centers in India has opened on September 20, 2021. Students must note that each test center has its own registration and payment instructions. Students should always be sure to check with their preferred test center to avoid missing out on deadlines.
Students must complete registration and payment directly with their selected test center between September and mid-November 2021 to secure their exam seat at the center.

Some test centers may also offer a second registration window from February to mid-March 2022 but w. additional fees.

AP Exam Schedule
The 2022 AP Exams will be administered at authorized schools and test centers as paper-and-pencil exams over two weeks in May: May 2-6 and May 9-13. Testing at times other than those published by the College Board is not permitted under any circumstances. However, a few test centers offer late testing dates if the student cannot test during the first two weeks of May. Also, schools and test centers have selected exams from the complete exam schedule they can offer.

Authorized AP Test Centers
Authorized AP test centers manage AP Exam registration in India. Since test centers operate independently, exam selection, deadlines, fees, and exam cancellation, as well as refund policies and procedures, may vary.

AP Exam 2022 Eligibility Criteria

• Students must have either a valid passport or another valid, govt-issued ID to register and take AP Exams.
• Students must be under the age of 21 at the time of exams.
• Students cannot take any or all 4 physics exams in the same year.
• Students cannot retake an exam in the same year.
• Students are not eligible to take both Calculus AB and Calculus BC in the same year.
• Students cannot take two exams scheduled on the same date & time.
• To register for the AP Computer Science Principles Exam, students must show they are enrolled in the corresponding AP course as their portfolio component, which their AP teacher must review to receive a complete AP Exam score.
